Since 2006, erp4students has stood for hands-on, practice-oriented SAP education at the intersection of academia and professional life. What began as an innovative educational project has evolved over the past two decades into an internationally established program that sustainably connects students, universities, and industry partners.
From the very beginning, erp4students has pursued a clear goal: to combine theoretical knowledge with real-world application and to prepare students early for the requirements of the SAP environment. This approach has proven its value. To date, around 70,000 students have successfully completed qualifications and earned certifications through erp4students.
An international network for sustainable education
erp4students has long since grown beyond national borders. The program is open to participants worldwide and collaborates with universities and educational institutions in various countries. Partnerships exist, among others, with universities in France, the Netherlands, Saudi Arabia, and Mexico. Over the years, this has resulted in a global network that closely integrates academic teaching, continuing education, and SAP practice, and is continuously evolving.
The focus is not only on content and technologies, but above all on the people who shape the program: dedicated lecturers, partners from industry and practice, and students who are keen to systematically expand their skills.
20 years of experience – and a view to the future
“20 years of erp4students stand for continuity, reliability, and sustainable educational work,” says Program Director Prof. Robert Franz. Close collaboration with universities and partners, as well as the long-standing commitment of many contributors, continue to form the foundation of the program.
To mark its 20th anniversary, erp4students will launch an extensive anniversary campaign in 2026. Planned initiatives include the video series “
20 Years – 20 Stories”, a central anniversary video, editorial retrospectives on the program’s development, and an internal anniversary event in spring 2026.
Learning as a continuous process
erp4students does not view learning as a short-term activity, but as a long-term, practice-oriented development process. The focus is on sustainable skills development, high didactic quality, and the continuous adaptation of content to technological and professional requirements in the SAP environment.
“For us, the anniversary is not an end point, but a starting point,” emphasizes Program Manager and Co-Founder Dipl. Wirt.-Inf. Pouyan Khatami. “We want to continue strengthening the connection between academia, continuing education, and SAP practice in the future and jointly set new impulses.”
