The erp4students program at Brandenburg University of Applied Sciences is celebrating its anniversary this year and opens the qualification courses to students from all over the world.
„15 years ago, we started with 63 participants – as an e-learning training for students in the field of business application software”, Prof. Dr. Heimo Adelsberger recalls, who launched the erp4students program back in 2006. “Today, it turned out to be something big and we could already welcome our 50,000th participant.”
With about 5,000 students per year, the erp4students e-learning program is already one of the largest training programs in the field of the latest SAP applications and technologies. An extended cooperation agreement with SAP SE now opens the program globally. “With these innovations, we particularly focus on other interested parties from the Asian region”, says the President of the Brandenburg University of Applied Sciences, Prof. Dr. Andreas Wilms.
The affordable e-learning courses, which are aimed at students, have already been internationally demanded before. The concept of success of erp4students lies in the practical training. There are currently 13 courses offered: In addition to theoretical self-learning units, the students also solve practical case studies in current software environments that are also commonly used in companies. “The case studies are real business processes from the areas of finance, controlling, reporting, and production planning. They also deal with technical areas, such as the implementation of these systems and programming in ABAP”, explains Prof. Dr. Robert Franz from the Brandenburg University of Applied Sciences. Prof. Dr. Franz supervises erp4students scientifically as the Program Director.
All erp4students courses are awarded with a university certificate after successful completion and can be supplemented with an SAP consultant certificate if desired. “The Brandenburg University of Applied Sciences is a strong partner of SAP and acts as a pioneer in the utilization of the latest SAP technologies in the university environment in order to support young talents.” confirms Dr. Katharina Schäfer, Global Head of University Alliances at SAP SE, and adds: “Thanks to the erp4students program, students can acquire SAP certifications during their studies, which are in great demand in the job market.”
SAP SE and the Brandenburg University of Applied Sciences are currently promoting the expanded cooperation on social media channels:
