The Team - Developer and Tutors

With some erp4students staff you surely already got in contact - with others not necessarily. However, they all are of enornomous importance for the programme because they are the people who permanently optimize and develop it - and ultimately keep it running. Therefore, in this chapter of our countdown we want to introduce those people to you who work both in front of and behind the scenes, starting with our developers and tutors. 

• I´m Taymaz Khatami and I´m the head of the course development and also primarily responsible for the support. And actually 'man Friday' regarding SAP expertise ;-) 

• I´ve been here since the beginning and took care of the very first SAP ERP course that we offered at the University of Duisburg-Essen 10 years ago. When we extended our programme to more universities in Germany and the world, my tasks grew as well: From the initial SAP ERP application to the customizing of SAP systems and to SAP CRM, SAP BW, SAP BO, SAP ByD (open end ;-)) 

• I was a lecturer and Ph.D. student at the University of Duisburg-Essen at the Department of Marketing. 

4. What is planned for the future in your area? 

• On the one hand we always think about new course offers for the courses in which people are most interested, e.g. Financial Accounting or Controlling or new technologies like S/4 HANA und Fiori. On the other hand we aim to improve the existing courses and to expand the support. 

• ...I have a lot of freedom concerning time and place of work, as well as the creative freedom; and especially the access to various different SAP systems and to SAP expertise are very important to me. And also the relaxed working atmosphere in a great team shouldn´t be underestimated! 

• My name is Stefan Friese. I´m a course developer and supervisor of the ABAP and the PPS courses. 

• I began about 10 years ago, at the beginning of the project, with the development of the first ABAP course. Later the advanced course, English courses and PPS were added. 

• erp4students was developed at the department for Business Informatics of Production Companies for which I worked as a research assistant at that time. 

• ...it is very diversified and I like the interaction with many different people. 

• My name is Michael Goy and I supervise the BW/BO/HANA courses and help enhancing them. Moreover, I develop our internally-used software, maintain our moodle-LMS ... and I´m the IT-allrounder ;-) 

• I took part in the ERP course in 2008 and began working for erp4students (at this time not yet the programme but a pilot scheme) afterwards. In the beginning I mainly helped to write scripts and to translate them, to hang up posters, distribute leaflets, promote it in forums etc. Then I began to help Taymaz with the supervision and maintenance of the BW courses such as to support him in the development of the BO/HANA course. Further, I developed two courses („Introduction to Data Warehousing“ and „Introduction to In-Memory Technology“) for the Academy Cube Programme. At the same time I was involved in the laying of the foundation stone for our in-house software development and two years ago I took over the area of IT. 

• I studied economics. Additionally I jobbed, that´s how I came to Business Informatics in the end. 

4. What is planned for the future in your area? 

• Getting even better, of course :-) More concretely to get deeper into new, exciting topics in the areas BW, BO and HANA. Secondly, we will create a product which enables us to provide our course participants with even better and faster support, to make the work on the case study even more comfortable. To this project I´m particularly looking forward. 

• ... it provides space for creativity as well as for the development and realization of my own ideas. 

• My name is Juan Pedro Rubio and I´m responsible for the regions Spain and Latin America regarding the supervision of courses (SAP ERP, SAP Customizing und SAP BW). I also take care of the development of new courses and advancing the customer service in Spain and Latin America. 

• For more than two years. I began at erp4students during my last year at university. When I graduated, I came here completely. 

• I obtained my degree as a Construction Engineer at the UCLM University in Spain. Parts of the studies I did in Poland (Gdansk) and Germany (Aachen). 

• ... it enables me to become well acquainted with the SAP software. Te schedule is flexible and allows me to combine work and leisure in the way that fits me best. 

• I´m Marlon and I mainly contribute to the development of scripts for the online-courses. To the creation as well as to the translation between English and German. 

• I´m in the team since the end of 2012 and began with the development of scripts. 

• A 400€-job. And of course I studied. 

4. What is planned for the future in your area? 

• Developing more scripts! 

• ... I can organize it flexibly, the working atmosphere is good (that primarily concerns the e-mail contact etc.). Further, the topics and the work on the SAP-system are very interesting.
